After having "met" Zap at a smoking fetish message board back in 1998 and then realizing I wasn't alone having this deep interest for coughing women, I felt there should be a web site about this. I couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself.
However, Zap and a guy called Smokey were faster and the (as far as I know) first coughing fetish web site ever was released by them before I had even started.
I think the Yahoo group "Coughing-females" was already started at the time, by the way. Their site was called "Zap's and Smokey's Coffee House". A few weeks later (I think this was in January 1999) my site, originally called "Cough Stuff" was born at Xoom. The encounters and stories pages kept growing and I added pictures taken from Zap's MPGs, and I had a few primitive recordings there too.
It also included some interactive attempts in forms of fill-in forms where coughing women were supposed to enter details about their cough, us guys were supposed to fill in about preferences, experiences etc. Noone ever replied so I deleted them later on. I also had a link to a female psychologist in the U.S. who seriously wanted to know more about the passion for coughing women.
Xoom was bought by NBCi which soon stopped providing free web space so I moved to Yahoo/GeoCities and changed the name to "Coughing Females", later "Coughing Ladies". Because of lower and lower limits for free downloading, too much downloading resulted in the site being temporarily shut down from time to time, so I had to remove all recordings and most pictures.
In 2009, Yahoo/GeoCities stopped offering free web space, and I'm very grateful to the owner of the www.pinocchia.com server for letting me host the site there.
Today, the Yahoo group "Jimandzaps", which replaced the "coughing-females" group is probably THE center for people who share the passion for coughing women on the Internet. Apart from being a meeting place and a resource center for coughing-related digital material, the group and its members prove to commercial video producers that there might be worth producing coughing fetish videos.
The Coughing Ladies web site continues to exist in parallel with the Yahoo group, and it's - as far as I know - currently the only coughing fetish web site, apart from communities like Yahoo groups.
